~Tantric Hearts ~ featuring Alison (Alli) Brown.
~Announcing two new events ~ KundiTantra and The Masculine Man

We are almost halfway through the year, and for me it feels like time is flying by. May was again a very full month with a trip to Sydney for a wedding and client appointments; a trip to Brisbane to launch Tantric Nights and see clients; and moving into my new house in Hughesdale, Melbourne (hooray!)

My May highlight

My May highlight was the very beautiful wedding of a couple who have a special place in my heart – they have been friends and clients for 4 years (bride) and 3 years (groom). The invitations that Alison Petrie and I received were for an engagement party – but surprise!!! – it was actually a wedding! I truly admire what they have created in their lives – they are committed to growth as individuals and together as a couple.

The evening was so heart-warming, as they acknowledged their love for each other through times of support and challenge. I felt honoured to share a speech which acknowledged relationship as a shared adventure – a terrain of ups and downs for two people to travel together – and I have seen these two travel a transformative path together already. The photo above of Alison and me is from the wedding.

Identity crisis!

I know we have confused some of you with Allison and Alison on our Tantric Blossoming team.
So to clarify – Allison Brown (who we call Alli and is featured below in our Tantric Hearts section this month) is our new Administration Assistant, she lives in Melbourne and responds to some of your phone calls and emails. Alison Petrie (who we call Alison and is in the pic with me) is our Tantric Practitioner based in Sydney, who many of you have met at Tantric Nights, women’s events, retreats and through session work with her.

Tantric Nights Brisbane launch

The recent Brisbane Tantric Nights launch was a delicious evening of heart-opening connection, inspired sharing, energetic exchanges and loving fun. Many people shared with us that they will be back again in July, with friends to join them. I delighted in the easy flow between Lilamani and myself in co-facilitating, and I’m excited about the ongoing development of our Brisbane community in the coming months.

Two new events

I look forward to connecting with many of you over the coming months. See the calendar below for two new events:

 KundiTantra
a fun, inspiring and engaging evening for merging heart and sexual energy co-created and co-facilitated by Tara Fischer and myself. More
 The Masculine Man
an empowering, potent, life-changing event for men by David Anderson. More

And now that I am fully settled in Melbourne, I am looking forward to creating more events in Melbourne. If you have any ideas for events that you would like to experience let me know by reply email.

With love, inspiration and fullness

PS. I thought you might like to hear about this new juicer I am buying for myself. It’s a Kuvings Silent Juicer which utilises the slow cold press extraction method over high speed cutting methods, delivering fresher, healthier, more nutrient dense juices that are quite simply … delicious! Freshly made living juices are packed full of nutrients as well as the enzymes needed to easily digest them. You can significantly boost your daily quota of healing, revitalising antioxidants by adding one glass of fresh fruit/vegetable/grass juice each morning … and they taste so yummy! As added bonuses, Kuvings is easier to clean and use than many of the other slow cold press extraction juicers on the market and comes with a lower price tag! Tantric Quote

“Love appears as relationship, but begins in deep solitude. Love expresses as relating, but the source of love is not in relating; the source of love is in meditating.
When you are absolutely happy in your aloneness – when you don’t need the other at all, when the other is not a need – then you are capable of love. If the other is your need, you can only exploit, manipulate, dominate, you cannot love.

Love is a sharing of overflowing joy. You are too full of joy; you cannot contain it, you have to share it. Then there is poetry and then there is something tremendously beautiful that is not of this world, that is something that comes from beyond. This love cannot be learned, but obstacles can be removed.

Many times I say learn the art of love, but what I really mean is: Learn the art of removing all that hinders love. It is a negative process. It is like digging a well: You go on removing many layers of earth, stones, rocks, and then suddenly there is water. The water was always there; it was an undercurrent. Now you have removed all the barriers, the water is available. So is love: love is the undercurrent of your being. It is already flowing, but there are many rocks, many layers of earth to be removed.

That’s what I mean when I say learn the art of love. It is really not learning love but unlearning the ways of unlove.”

Tantric Wisdom for your life

Creating a healthy masculine/feminine dynamic

Our society has changed so much in the last fifty years and it’s left some unanswered questions for men and women.

Many men are feeling lost about what their role is; and women are trying to do everything.
Women often ask me how they can be of support to men, when it’s really time for women to find a new middle ground for themselves and leave space for men to find their own ways.

Men are not women
Men experienced a major shift from being providers with dependent families to a world where women are independent and no longer needing them to provide. At the same time men have been encouraged to explore their emotions and be more feminine – largely by women who expect them to do this in the same way that women would express feelings.

And all of this has left many men confused about their role in the world today. It’s true that men do need to connect with their feelings and be able to explore their inner terrains; however, this is best done with a group of men or with women who know how to inspire men without an agenda for control, leaving them free to be themselves.
Asking men to communicate like women has created a disservice for men, leaving men confused about how to be with women and not understanding what women want or need from them.

Women taking on the unhealthy masculine
And in our fight for independence, for women’s rights, there has been a massive pendulum swing – we have moved from the times where men were macho and women were subservient through to women claiming their voices but taking it to the other extreme with women being dominant in many ways and taking on the unhealthy masculine approach to life, leaving men falling into the unhealthy feminine roles.

Tantric Hearts ~

 Meet our community
members

Allison Brown
 Role: Tantric Blossoming Administration Assistant

Location ~ recently moved to Melbourne

Favourite Tantric Blossoming event ~ Beauty of Woman, monthly circle.
This is my favourite time of the month! I find sharing, learning and connecting
with the women that attend this event to be incredibly nourishing and supportive.

Favourite other event ~ The National Folk Festival, Canberra.

Best ever tantric experience ~ When I began to notice the sensations of energy and the power of my breath within my body like I never had before, then developing the ability to expand and transform that energy into inspiration and joy and seeing the positive effect that has on my experiences and interactions. I love that I can practise Tantra anywhere and at anytime.
Describe your ideal day ~ Sunrise beach walk with my puppy dogs and throw in a few salutes to the sun whilst there. Crafting or rolling up my sleeves and pottering in the garden for hours. Preparing fresh, wholesome food and eating it with my beloved ones. Lots of cups of teas and heart to hearts. Watching the sun go down and the stars come out then heading up to the local pub to see a friends band play. Chocolate and snuggles complete me.
Recommended tantra book ~ It’s a Guy Thing and Way of the Superior Man, both by David Deida. I was given It’s a Guy Thing some years ago as a gift and upon reading experienced one of those light bulb moments.
Favourite food ~ Beetroot…raw, steamed, roasted, pickled or juiced, I just can’t get enough of that Pink Goodness!
What makes your heart sing ~ Expressing my creativity, sunshine on my skin, a genuine smile or gesture of compassion and bear hugs. I really love being swung around the dance floor by a man who knows how to lead.
Favourite song ~ Wild Horses – Keith Richards and Mick Jagger.
What would you like to be remembered for ~ If the thought of me brings a smile to my loved ones face and warms their heart then mission accomplished.
Favourite smell ~ Jasmine on a summer breeze.

Working with girls to create healthy transitions through puberty and adolescence

2-day Workshop for Adults
Sydney
2 & 3 July |
Melbourne
10 & 11 July

Puberty and adolescence is an important transition for girls-a time of emerging female identity and potential empowerment; a time when genuine understanding of her changing body and emerging values, goals, skills and patterns of relationship can be greatly supported and celebrated by the adults around her.

In a world where advertising images and myths of the perfect female body abound, how can we encourage conversations with girls that sparkle with understanding, self- acceptance, curiosity, reþection and celebration? In truth, we cannot have too many of these conversations during puberty and adolescence, for these potent years lay the foundations for the woman the girl is to become.

This highly interactive two-day workshop is for anyone who works or lives with girls or young women. It is also for those wishing to explore the important foundations of a woman’s journey to maturity and self understanding-no matter what her age.
